MyHomeAssets! Software is available in a demo version. This version is identical to the full setup version above, however you will receive a notice when trying to add new records if you exceed 25 test records (the number of records in the database). Your demo software can be activated by registering the software, eliminating the need to reinstall a live version later on. Click on the Download Now button to download MyHomeAssets! Software:

Software Availability

MyHomeAssets! Software is available in either a CD ROM and case, or as a download. Software must be registered before use, and all documentation is installed from the installation program and available from within the software.

Upgrades

MyHomeAssets! software upgrades are currently available at no charge. Be sure to select the Upgrade option when installing upgrades so as not to overwrite your data files.
 

Requirements and Compatibility

MyHomeAssets! software is compatible with the following operating systems:

Windows 98, 2000, XP, XP SP2, and Vista.

We recommend at least a Pentium Processor, 256Mb of memory. Program requires about 12Mb of hard disk drive space, and data files and images take up between 1Mb and 50Mb of space, depending on the number of items and size of images you use.

Registering Your Software

If you have a valid copy of the MyHomeAssets! Software, you must register it in order to use it. Registration requires that you send the following information to info at myhomeassets dot com:

1. Your first and last name.
2. Your e-mail address to register the software and communicate with you.
3. The distributor code: this is found on the screen showing your software is unregistered.
4. Description of where you obtained the software and from who.

Once we receive all this information, you will receive an e-mail containing your registration code and directions for registering your software. To register your version of the software:

1. Start the MyHomeAssets! program.
2. Go to the menu: Help | Register Software.
3. Go to your registration email and copy the registration string (usually containing odd characters and numbers).
4. Switch to the MyHomeAssets! program and paste this code into the Registration Code text box.
5. Click the Register Product button. You should receive a confirmation that the software is now registered to you.
6. Click the Done button.

• Help is available on nearly every screen and you can even add your own notes to each help window.
• Track all your personal assets, including vehicles, household items, electronics, etc.
• Convenient list and form interface allows for rapid review of your items and easy editing.
• Interfaces to and from most applications, such as Microsoft Money, using a typical text file.
• Up to three images of your items can be attached to each asset record.
• Assets can be assigned categories, and you can create as many categories as you like in order to track your stuff.
• Assets can be assigned an unlimited number of user defined rooms, so you can tell where your items are stored.
• Numerous reports are available to print out lists of your items, with or without images, and with as much information as you want. Store these lists at work, another home, or in a safety deposit box in order to have access to the information in case of a catastrophe.
• Run reports to your printer—including color printers, or view the output on the screen to save paper.
• Image editor allows you to modify the look of your photos (brightness, contrast, etc.).
• Uses images in more image formats than other products: dozens of image formats are supported, including common ones like GIF, JPEG, BMP, EPS, PNG, TIF, PCX, and many more.
• Import and export data for use with other programs, such as a spreadsheet.
• Track insurance information and assign policies to asset items.
• Store the new price, and various replacement prices and values for each item.
• System will notify you in the event you are underinsured.
• Assign vendors to the item to indicate where you purchased it in the event you need to find a source to replace the asset later on.
• A powerful Query By Example (QBE) search engine lets you search for just the items you’re interested in. For example, “All electronics insured by XYZ insurance and made by Nikon with a value over $1000”. Search every field if you like, and use the results to filter reports to print just the information you need.
• Track assets for multiple people.
• Security makes sure that only authorized people can see your data.
